Fellowship and many hands make light work at Hauge Church Family gatherings

Sunday Morning Fellowship and Continental Breakfast:

Please join us at Hauge for continental breakfast and fellowship at 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Sundays of each month, prior to regular worship. This time of fellowship provides opportunity to welcome and get to know visitors, as well as to learn of prayer needs, and to hear praise reports.

Every Sunday, you are welcome to join the Pastor for prayers before worship.

Wednesday Prayer Group:

Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. during December, Prayer Group meets at Hauge; during November at St. John's. All people are invited to participate, both those with special prayer needs, and those called by God to join us in intercessory prayer.

Notice: Hauge Church is 100% handicapped accessible.

Pastor Nancy Solomonson installation completed

Pastor Nancy's installation took place on Sunday, November 15. Here she is pictured with Mimi Baker, the President of St. John's (left) and Darlene Vine, the President of Hauge (right):

Godspeed to the King family

Worship Service on Sunday, July 19th began at 10:00 a.m. Our brothers and sisters from St. John's joined us for worship, followed by a potluck dinner for Jan King and her family as an opportunity to thank them for their service to both churches and wish them well in their new assignment in Rushford.

Thanks also to all who work to make the Annual Hauge Bazaar such a fun success! Plan for an evening of fellowship, fun, and good food beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14th!

Another beautiful fall is anticipated by Hauge's Annual Bazaar. The lower level invariably is filled with folks who come to enjoy homemade treats, as well as to bid for hand-made crafts, church souvenirs, antiques, knickknacks, housewares, and home-made baked goods, jams, jellies, and garden specialties. Plan to find some Christmas presents now. Praise be to God for His provision.

Commendations are due to the Hanson family for hosting the wonderful community-wide luncheon on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th. It gave us the opportunity to share remembrances and to compare family ties as we enjoyed a beautiful day in the peaceful setting of Hauge Church.

Because severe weather kept Alvin from attending Hauge last winter, the church went to Alvin to worship with him for his 100th birthday the last week of February, 2009

Thanks to all who worked to make Alvin's 100th birthday worship service memorable.

Deepest Thanks to the John & Lenora Peterson families for their service to their Hauge Church family last Memorial Day, May 26th.

Memorial Day Dinner at Hauge was a wonderful time of remembrance and fellowship, hosted by the Petersons; for which we give thanks.

Notice the new row of twenty blue spruce trees planted along the north end of the cemetery.

Thanks are due to Nancy & Marvin Dietzenbach for selecting and hauling these trees to Hauge, and for providing the auger to plant them, for which Glenn Larson, Pastor Paul Hougen, and Ralph Van Fossen also contributed muscle to shovel dirt, tote water, and spread a little levity, while they sought to make Ken's lawn mowing task more difficult.

The Fadness Family gathering:

The baptism of Teagan Hailey Fadness, daughter of Roger and Sandy Fadness, on Father's Day prompted family members to gather on the church steps for a picture.

Annual Meeting:

This year's Annual Meeting took place Sunday, February 1st. This was a wonderful time to review the past year, exchange ideas for the future, and, of course, another opportunity to enjoy fellowship and good food.

2010 Joint Lenten Suppers and Worship Services:

Every Wednesday during Lent there will be joint suppers with St. John's at Locust at 6:00 p.m., followed by worship service at 6:45. Prayer Group is being suspended during this time.

Annual Joint Harvest Worship and Dinner, Nov. 18:

Sunday morning, November 18th, the Annual Joint Harvest Worship with St. John's took place at Hauge Church at 10:30 a.m. Following the worship service, everyone enjoyed a thanksgiving dinner with the joint congregations of Hauge and St. John's, always a special harvest time of thanksgiving.

Wednesday Confirmation Classes:

Every other Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Decorah Lutheran.

Aase Haugen & Wellington Place ministries:

You can check for the Sunday and Wednesday worship times at Aase Haugen and Wellington Place for any particular week, or in the Sunday Bulletin at church.
